Historical porcelain museum

Guyao Road Changjiang, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi China, 333,000

About the company:

Jingdezhen is an ancient city famous for its centuries-old traditional porcelain production.

During the Tang Dynasty, white porcelain was made here, known as “fake jade”.

Although the quality of the current porcelain is inferior to the quality of the ancient, it is the acquaintance with its production that is the purpose of visiting these places by travelers. At the western end of the city is the Ancient Historical Museum of Porcelain, which clearly tells about the technology of its manufacture during the Qing and Ming dynasties, and there are excellent samples created after the proclamation of the PRC in 1949.

It is noteworthy that the museum is located in a mansion of the Ming era - one of the few surviving buildings that once were the decoration of the city. And the adjacent Factory of Ancient Porcelain (Guyaotsychan) presents visitors with the ancient technique of porcelain production.
