The Jile Temple is one of the four famous temples in Northeast China.
The temple was built in 1920 by Yanxu Master, a famous disciple of the Tiantai Buddhist clan. The total area of the temple complex is 57,000 square meters. The complex consists of several halls. This is the Hall of the Heavenly King, the Great Hall, the three halls of the Bodhisattva, the book hall. The facade of the main halls is “turned” to the Drum Tower and the bell tower. At each sunrise and sunset, the monks beat the drum and the bell, calling everyone to worship.
