Golden temple

China, a suburb of Kinming, northeast of the city, Mingfeng Mountain

Description:

At the top of Minfeng Hill is the Golden Temple. It is also called the Temple of Higher Harmony. It was built by order of Emperor Wan Li (1602). According to legend, the place for the construction of the temple was suggested to him in a dream. In the 19th century, the temple was restored, for these purposes it took more than 200 tons of bronze.

In order to get to the Temple itself, it is necessary to overcome the high stairs that are in the traditions of Taoist temples. In the hall you can see a sword, according to legend, belonged to the deity who guarded the neighborhood. The temple is located in a wonderful, picturesque place, surrounded by pines and cypresses.
