Yangbajingzhen, Damxung, Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China
Description:
Tibetan medicine is something amazing. Compared to the European, local doctors try to cure not only the disease, but mainly the causes of the development of the disease. The main method is the restoration of harmony of vital forces in the human body. Tibetan doctors are able to identify even incipient diseases and advise a way to prevent the development of the disease. One of the amazing healing sites is the Yambajini hot springs.
Yambajini Springs is one of the world’s largest complex of geysers, located at an altitude of 4200 meters in a pit in Damshung County, 100 km from Lhasa. At any time of the year, the springs supply here to the surface of the earth hot water with a temperature of about 70 degrees. Therefore, a cloud of steam hangs over the pit all the time, and one of the geysers gives out a jet up to 100 meters high. It's a really grand sight. Against the background of snow-white mountain peaks and juicy green meadows, a column of water and a couple flying into the sky from under the ground cannot leave indifferent even the most sophisticated.
For travelers, there are outdoor and indoor pools, fragrant and therapeutic baths and other procedures are possible. Water in the springs helps get rid of gastric, kidney, skin diseases, helps with arthritis, paralysis of the limbs and other diseases.
