Macau Tower
Largo da Torre de Macau, Macau, Regiã o Administrativa Especial de Macau, Macau, China
Description:
The Macau Tower is the unspoken symbol of the city. The top of this skyscraper can be seen from anywhere on the peninsula. The construction of this incredible structure lasted only three years. New Zealand architect Gordon Moller, known for his high-rise buildings, was invited to design the skyscraper. Upon completion in 2001, Macau Tower became an honorary member of the World Federation of Skyscrapers.
The skyscraper is 338 meters high. Inside, the tower is a huge shopping complex with shops, restaurants, exhibition halls and a cinema. At the top of the tower is an open observation deck, which was chosen by lovers to tickle their nerves. Here you can walk with insurance at an altitude of two hundred meters. In addition, it is here that the highest “bunker” in the world is located. Jumping from the tower of Macau is considered the most extreme and expensive pleasure, which will cost you about a thousand dollars.
But even without extremes, you can climb to the top of the skyscraper to admire the view opening below. The elevator will take you up in just 40 seconds. The observation deck consists of two levels, one of which consists of a glass floor and glass fences. At the same time, the entire observation deck rotates around its axis, making a full revolution in 60 minutes. From this height and panoramic view you can see the whole city of Macau, Guangzhou, the Zhujiang River and even some of the islands of Hong Kong.
