Yalunwan Bay

Yalunwan Bay is the most popular tourist resort area of Hainan Island. Its name from Chinese translates as “Bay of the Dragon”. This is one of the most picturesque places of Hainan and the whole Celestial Empire. Due to the excellent landscape of the area among the Chinese, Yalunwan is considered the first bay in the country.

The bay is famous for its magnificent beach with the finest snow-white sand and crystal clear water, visibility in which remains even at a 10-meter depth. Here, in coral reefs, there are many species of exotic fish. The bay is surrounded by hills with virgin rainforests. The slopes are planted with mango, banana and coconut plantations. Yalunwan is also famous for its diverse and rare varieties of tea.

In addition, modern centers have been opened in the Bay, where various business events are held. There are a large number of shops, bars and restaurants, famous for amazing dishes from the freshest seafood. Interesting attractions of Yalunwan are the central square with a stone 27-meter totem, the Museum of Tropical Sea Shells and the unique Butterfly Valley.
