Dadonghai is a nice beach 3 km east of Sanya, many hotels, sand, shade, surfing opportunities.
Luhuitou Peninsula - few hotels, the beaches are too stony, but pleasant for walking.
Tianya Haijiao - 24 km west of Sanya, several large rocks, little shadow. Very popular with Chinese tourists who like to take pictures against the backdrop of picturesque rocks.
Dragon Tooth Bay (Yalong Wan) is a picturesque place and beach east of Sanya.
Xidao Dongdao - two coral islets visible from the Luhoitou Peninsula, a great place for diving and snorkelling. Locals build coral houses and make souvenirs for tourists.
