Mount Asta Parbat

Adjoining the southern slope of Mount Kailash

Description:

Mount Asta Parbat is adjacent to one of the slopes of the sacred mountain Kailash. In terms of location and appearance, it is very similar to Mount Nandi: it has the same regular geometric shapes that lead researchers to speculate about whether Asta Parbat is a natural landmark or it is the work of man.

According to some versions, Asta Parbat, like Nandi, is a huge sarcophagus in which all the great teachers who have ever lived on Earth are in a state of samadhi: Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed. According to another version, the mountain contains the genetic material of people, animals and plants inhabiting the planet. If life on Earth were ever completely destroyed, it could be restored using this material.

These versions are not proven and completely refuted by official science. However, the mountains of Kailash, Nandi and Asta Parbat have been the object of pilgrimage and religious worship for many centuries.
