Del 20 De Julio Museum

Calle 11 No. 6-94, Casa del Florero, Bogota, Colombia

About the company:

The name of the museum is associated with the incident with the flower vase, which served as the impetus for the uprising against the Spanish crown and the beginning of the struggle for independence.

The museum is housed in a building known as Casa del Florero. The house was built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries in the Andalusian style - white walls and green doors, windows, balustrades and balconies. In 1959, the building was restored and a museum was created in memory of the uprising against the Spanish colonialists, which began on July 20, 1810.

The museum contains about 2,000 items and documents related to the history of Colombian independence. The entire exposition of the museum is located in ten thematic exhibition halls.
