Museum of Gold

Carrera 5, Bogota, Colombia

About the company:

The Museum of Gold, its original name "Museo del Oro", is located in the city of Bogota. There are more than 26 thousand exhibits created by Indians in the pre-Columbian era.

The museum was founded by a Colombian bank in 1939. It is located in the historic district of LaCandelaria. Most of the exhibits of the museum are made of gold, some of them are quite large in size. It contains both luxury items, for example, various beads, earrings, vases, and everyday things made of gold: cutlery, fishing gear and others.

Especially impressive is the last hall of the museum, it contains about 12 thousand pieces of gold, when the light is lit in the hall - it amazes with its splendor.
