Akandi Airport

Description:

Akandi Airport, also known as Alcides Fernandez Airport, is located in Bogota, Colombia. In 1999, it almost closed forever. The reason for this cardinal decision was the low need for domestic flights among tourists. Since 2000, air travel has been discontinued for two years.

But since the city of Akandi is an important geographical point associated with Panama, with the help of government funding, the airport has been qualitatively improved, runways have been expanded, passenger terminals have been improved. In 2003, the airport was officially reopened.
