Nirvana Nature Reserve

Nirvana Nature Reserve is located at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level.

At the beginning of XX century in the era of colonization "Nirvana" was a coffee plantation. In 1986, due to the crisis of the coffee business in the country, the plantation was abandoned and destroyed.

Flora and fauna in the reserve was not grown artificially, the natural cover was formed by natural restoration.

The reserve began its activity in 1997.

Now Nirvana is a place of so-called ecotourism. The reserve is also of regional importance due to archaeological discoveries made in the area.
