Kauita National Park

Limon, 36, Costa Rica

Description:

Kauita National Park is known for its white sand beaches and coral reefs.

The park is located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea and is surrounded on one side by a beach with white sand and emerald water, on the other - by thickets of rainforest. In 1970, it was declared a National Monument and covers 22,500 hectares, including 600 hectares of coral reefs!

Visitors to the park, other than sunbathing under a palm tree or playing volleyball, can hike through the rainforest, where you can meet monkeys, iguanas, porcupines and many other residents of the park.

There is also an opportunity to go diving, where you can see the full beauty of the park. Under water you can observe sea urchins, sea angels, parrot fish and other inhabitants of the seas.
