The magnificent Tortuguero is one of the few national parks in Costa Rica that can only be reached by boat. But, despite its inaccessibility, this place is considered one of the most popular among tourists. And for good reason! After all, it is this place that the turtles chose as a maternity hospital. But it should be remembered that you can see turtles here not all year round, as some think, but only 4 months a year, namely from July to October.
But not even in turtle season, Tortuguero National Park will be interesting. For example, you can go canoeing through river channels and see a huge number of other inhabitants of this place. Capuchins, spider monkeys, river turtles, crocodiles, caimans, iguanas, basiliskis, a huge number of birds, etc.
