One-day tour of Havana.
Description:
The tour consists of two parts: a car sightseeing tour and a walking tour of the historical part of Havana.
1) Sightseeing tour by car or retro convertible.
A car tour of Havana will take about three hours.
We will start our small journey from Malecon, a seven-kilometer promenade and one of the most popular places in Havana. From where we will go to the house of sculptor Fuster and on the way we will see the famous house with green tiles and the building of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, made in the form of a giant Russian sword. Then, immerse yourself in the coolness of Emiliano Zapato Parks, Almendares and the fabulous Havana Forest. After that, bypassing the Necropolis of Calumba, which is one of the largest cemeteries in the world and a national monument of Cuba, we will visit the world-famous square de la Revolucion, where Fedel Castro repeatedly spoke, and have held church services for two Popes. Then we will drive to the University of Havana and the Napoleon Museum and visit Caejon de Hamlet, a street of African culture that has become especially popular in recent years. Then, past the lions of Prado Boulevard, Paseo de Marti, we head to the Capitol, the symbol of Havana, and to the city's Grand Theatre and Central Park, after which, through an underwater tunnel, we cross the Gulf of Havana to complete our tour at the Tres Reyes del Morro Castle, one of the most impressive sights of Havana. From its walls offers a wonderful view of the city. There is also the Che Guevara Museum and a marble statue of Jesus Christ, which blesses the city of Havana and the ships that call at its harbor.
2) Walking tour of the historical part of the city. Havana Vieja.
In the area of the Old Town, where there are so many beautiful streets and buildings, you can wander all day and always find real pearls. On a walk, which will last about three hours, we will try to show you the most interesting places and draw your attention to the most important. You will visit all four squares of Havana Vieja: Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco and Plaza Vieja, which was once the central square of Havana. Here, within the old city, there is the Cathedral of St. Christopher, called the music captured in stone, the monastery complex of St. Francis of Assisi, the Palace of the Captain-Generals, the Castle de la Real Fuers, the oldest building in Cuba, and the famous ceiba tree with El Templet, an important historical building in Havana, as well as the new building of the University of Havana, built on the site of the first Cuban University of St. Geronimus, which perfectly fits into the style of the old city. We will stop at the Ambos Mundos Hotel, where Ernst Hemingway stayed, and visit his two favorite bars, El Floridita and Bodegita del Medio, where the famous Mojito and Daiquiri cocktails are served.
On this walk through the squares and streets of the old city you will see modern bronze sculptures and ancient marble statues and fountains, a pharmacy of past centuries and much more, and after the tour, if you have the strength, we can look at the largest souvenir market in Cuba, which is located immediately on the promenade.
