Fuente de los Leones (Fountain of the Lions)

Description:

Fuente de los Leones or “Fountain of the Lions” (Cuba, Havana) is a famous landmark in the capital of Liberty Island, as well as a visiting architectural card of the city, located in the central part of St. Francis of Assisi Square.

A key feature of this monumental structure is the white Carrara marble and the presence of a corrugated type of column with four sculptural figures of lions.

A replica of the world-famous Alhambra fountain, located in the Spanish city of Granada, a little less than two centuries ago was given to Giuseppe Gagini to supply ships calling at the city port with drinking clean water. Getting to this attraction on your own is very simple: the "Fountain of Lviv" is located in the city center, next to the famous Plaza de Palomas ("Plaza de Pigeons").
