Cuba, Old Havana, Palaz de la Cienaga

Description:

The Cathedral or the Cathedral of St. Christopher (Cuba, Havana) is located on the territory of the Old Town, on the Palas de la Cienaga. The architectural style of the cathedral is represented by the colonial type of Baroque. The construction of the landmark was made of stone, and the size of the cathedral is 34 × 35 m.

Located on the left, the tower is distinguished by a narrower design, which allows you to protect the structure from destruction during strong precipitation. On the inner walls of the cathedral there are copies of world-famous paintings by Murillo and Rubens, the work of Batista Beremei, as well as famous sculptural compositions made by Biancini. You can independently reach the Cathedral by special buses "T1" and "T3", after which you can walk several meters, bypassing the city park.
