Bellamar Cave

The cave "Bellamar" (Cuba, Matanzas) is one of the most attractive for numerous tourists and actively visited cave systems in the Caribbean region.

You can get to this National Monument of the northern coast of the island by personal car and public transport. The distance to the popular attraction from the central part of the city of Matanzas is only 4.5 km.

Suevas de Bellamar is one of the first tourist sites on Liberty Island, the opening of which took place after all the underground “premises” were cleared, water was pumped out, safe descents with crossings were equipped, and lighting was carried out in some vaults. It is here that you can get acquainted with bizarre stalagmites and stalactites, some of which were formed 40 thousand years ago.
