Varadero Museum
Calle 57 and Ave de la Playa, Varadero, Cuba
About the company:
The museum is located near the beach, in a two-storey house made in blue and blue colors. The architecture of the house is a style characteristic of America in the early XX century. The museum presents household and religious objects, whose age is more than 100 years. There are also objects of Indian culture, in particular paintings.
The museum often hosts exhibitions dedicated to Cuban Indians. In one of the rooms of the museum there are archaeological finds of Varadero. There are even the first paintings of the Hikakos peninsula made by travelers who stayed in Cuba.
The museum also features a collection of stuffed animals and a collection of Cuban furniture from different eras. The history of Varadero itself is presented here in the form of photographs and documents of the 1940s-50s. On Saturdays, the museum performs traditional Cuban music.
