The Baghal memorial ship

The Baghal Monument Ship is Kuwait’s most famous monument located on Arabian Gulf Street. The Baghala is a real vessel operating in the past, which is huge in size. This vessel is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest wooden dow on the planet.

The ship was built in the XIX century by Hussein Marafi Al-Hashemi II. This is a really huge vessel, which is 80.4 meters long and 18.7 meters wide. The dow has a displacement of 2,500 tons, which means it has the same mass. Now the ship "Baghala" is not "on the go", stands on the slip of the pier. Inside there is a prestigious banquet hall, where weddings and corporate parties walk.
