Riga City Day
Description:
The identity of the founder of the city is being debated. Three bishops are mentioned: Berthold, Meinhard and Albert von Appeldern. The latter was officially recognized as the founder of the city of Riga. He was a bishop who came to the banks of the Daugava with a military detachment and a papal bull to conquer Livonia.
Thus began the history of the beautiful capital of the Republic of Latvia, the city of Riga.
It's city day. Throughout the day, concerts will be held on Domskaya Square, in the garden of the Small Guild, in the Ave Sol concert hall, as well as in the Dome Cathedral and St. Peter's Church. In the city center will be laid the longest table, near which you can have lunch.
