Rundale Park

Rundale Park is, of course, part of Rundale Castle. However, the park is so unique and interesting that you can devote a separate book to it. The territory of the park is about 60 hectares. On this territory there are alleys, fountains, paths and 328185 young lindens, 45005 chestnuts and 1885 oaks - that is how many trees have been inventoryed.

In 1972, the restoration of the palace and the park began, and the French part of the park with an area of about 10 hectares and hunting grounds have been completely restored. Rastrelli tried to fill the park with natural landscapes that create a special romantic atmosphere in the park.
