Ungurmuija Manor
Pā rgaujas novads, Raiskuma pagasts, Ungurmui a, LV-4146
Description:
In Latvia, there is a place with a rich history - the territory that is now called the Ungurmuija estate. These lands have repeatedly changed their owners, each of whom sought to turn this place into something special, so there was always a "construction" and most likely no one will ever be able to say where it all began.
Nevertheless, in 1731, the Ungurmuija estate began to acquire its final appearance: a manor house - as the dominant of the entire ensemble, linden alleys, oak park, artificial lakes. A little later, stables and outbuildings appeared. In the 18th century, part of the interior was decorated with paintings on the walls, some of the masterpieces can be seen today.
In the middle of the twentieth century, the reconstruction of the estate was carried out: the painting on the walls, the roof, baroque jewelry were restored.
Now on the territory of the estate annually held Schubertiada - the so-called concert, which performs the best works of Franz Schubert.
