Description:

Liepaja Fortress or, as it is called, the North Fort of Karosta is a whole system of fortifications that were built between 1894 and 1908. Behind the decree on the beginning of construction is the Russian Tsar Alexander III.

During the Soviet Union, the area was considered an important strategic zone. The information was hidden under seven locks. Not only the fortress, but the whole district was considered a forbidden territory.

Nowadays, it is already possible to visit a previously inaccessible military facility, you can walk through winding underground passages, which in places reach several floors in height.
