Jurmala - beautiful in summer and winter

The most famous resort of Latvia is Jurmala.

In the early 19th century, after the war with Napoleon, officers of the Russian army came here for recovery. 1838 is considered as the beginning of the development of the resort, when Kemeri Park was laid out. Modern Jurmala is the largest and most popular health resort in the Baltic States. Tourists are attracted not only by the mild climate, but also by the healing air, extensive pine forests, mineral waters, mud baths, white quartz sand of beaches, as well as the natural border of the city - the Lielupe River. Natural factors improve mental and physical well-being and play an important role in healing processes. We inspect the concert hall Dzintari, the Jurmal Globe - the largest globe in Latvia, as well as the business card of the city - the famous Jurmala - Jomas street, access to the sandy seaside and photos on the "star track" of the New Wave. In the so-called Soviet time, Jurmala was on the 3rd place in terms of attendance by tourists per season (1.place-Sochi, 2.place-Yalta).
