Adolf Alunan Memorial Museum
About the company:
The Memorial Museum of Adolf Alunan, the father of the founder of the Latvian Art Theatre, is located on Philozofu Street in Jelgava. He lived here for the last two years of his life. Almost all of his creative heritage is in this small house-museum. Inside the premises, the original furnishings, furniture and everyday life of Adolf Alunan and his family are preserved, which allows you to better convey the special romance and atmosphere of this place.
It is the only museum dedicated to the father of the Latvian theatre. For a long time the museum was under reconstruction. Two years ago, in May 2011, after the completion of large-scale works on the improvement of the inner halls and the adjacent territory, the museum again receives visitors. Now it has a modern interactive exhibition.
