Three Sisters Mountain

Lichtenstein, Vaduz

Description:

The "Three Sisters" mountain is a natural border between Liechtenstein and Austria and is part of the Alps.

The mountain got its name due to the presence of three peaks, whose height is 2053 meters above sea level. The first ascent of the mountain was made in 1870 by Scotsman John Douglas.

At the foot of the "Three Sisters" is the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein - the city of Vaduz. And on the slope of the mountain is one of the main attractions of Liechtenstein - a castle with a chapel, built in the ninth century in the Gothic style. At the top of the Reticon rock, you can see the barely noticeable contours of the medieval castle-fortress, where the prince’s residence was once located.

For tourists, several routes have been developed for visiting attractions located on the mountain.
