About the company:

The Museum of Fine Arts of the Principality of Liechtenstein is located in the center of its capital, Vaduz. The museum was opened in November 2000. Most of its collection consists of objects of contemporary art, with special attention to sculpture and installations.

The Liechtenstein Museum of Art was designed by Swiss architects Meinrad Morgan and Heinrich Degelo. In the ultra-modern design of the building, structural and constructive complexity are harmoniously combined with external simplicity and conciseness. The building is built in the form of a black cube of tinted concrete and basalt, in the design of the facades interspersed with river pebbles from the valley of the Rhine River. For its unusual appearance in 2008, the museum building was included in the list of the ten ugliest buildings in the world.

Inside the “black box” of the Liechtenstein Museum in six snow-white exhibition halls with a total area of 1,750 square meters are the collections of the museum. The special pride of the museum is one of the largest private art collections in the world, owned by the Prince of Liechtenstein.
