Fantastic Lithuania and its beginning - Klaipeda
Description:
Klaipeda is the third largest city in Lithuania and its only port, as well as a commercial, industrial and cultural center. It was founded 3 years earlier than Koenigsberg, today Kaliningrad. Today it is very attractive for tourists. We will go to Klaipėda through the Curonian Spit National Park, pass through its Russian and Lithuanian part. Since the Curonian Spit is divided between two states: Russia and Lithuania. Klaipeda, we can say, borders the Curonian Spit: from the mainland it is separated only by the narrow Klaipeda Strait. We'll take the ferry with you. This is very fast and unforgettable! We will visit Klaipeda, the old city in which cars almost do not drive, and the streets are narrow and lined with old paving stones (by the way, shoes here need comfortable, heels will not go!). Old Klaipeda (German Memel) is beautiful. You will see the port and its buildings, the harbor with ships and fishermen lined up behind the Baltic fish. Walk along the old drawbridge, the Dane embankment (this river is so beautifully called), turn to the old square and remember the famous Ankhen from Tarau. I will tell you what is connected Klaipeda and Kaliningrad. We will look for a lot of funny sculptures that literally strewn with Klaipeda, and I will tell you about them!
And of course, how about without the zeppelins?! If you want to know what this dish is, go with me on an excursion to our nearest neighbor - Lithuania.
