Shvitouris Brewery

Shvituris plant is a veteran of Lithuanian brewing. It started in the late eighteenth century and is considered the oldest brewery in the country. Now its taste is known all over the world, and visiting the Holy of Holies Shvitouris, you can learn how to prepare the famous foam drink. The work of brewers Shvituris noticed almost immediately. At first, they won the love of the local population, and then the fame of the delicious drink spread far beyond Klaipeda. The first gold medal was awarded to the producers of Shvituris in 1883 at the international fair in Klaipėda. And in 1927, the piggy bank got the second award, presented during an agricultural exhibition. Now the list of awards at Shvituris is much wider. In particular, the company boasts a silver medal of the World Beer Cup - 2000, a deserved first place at the World Beer Championship - 2001 and a bronze medal received in 2002 during the World Cup - 2002.

The plant kept pace with the times and in 1998 Shvituris became the first Lithuanian brewing company to decide on a reorganization to enter the world market. As a result, the company began to prepare a drink that meets all quality standards and at the same time preserves the taste of the standard Lithuanian beer.
