Klaipėda

River Dane

Klaipeda, Lithuania

Description:

The Dane River divides the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda into 2 parts: on its left bank is the Old Town, and on the right - the modern city center.

On Dana, near the Exchange Bridge, you can see the symbol and bright attraction of Klaipeda - the magnificent sailing ship Meridian. The ship built in 1948 served as a training vessel for cadets of the Klaipėda Navigation School. Currently, a restaurant is located on the sailboat, inviting guests to taste excellent national dishes.

Above the canal rise the remains of the castle, which began the history of this amazing city. On the river runs a ferry, which transports everyone from one embankment to another.
