Saltkalviu gatve 2, Klaipeda 91246, Lietuva
About the company:
The museum of blacksmithing appeared in Klaipeda in 1992. Until that moment, the building was located, famous in Lithuania, forge master named Gustava Katske. The museum has collected samples of Lithuanian art, this time blacksmith art, and all those samples that were once made in this forge are now presented in the museum.
Visitors are offered iron products that were used in everyday life: horseshoes, weather vanes, hoes, plows and much more. Museum workers will be happy to talk about the development of crafts, how the methods of casting and forging of Lithuanian masters have changed. At the end of the stay in the museum, tourists will be offered souvenirs made here. It’s hard not to take a horseshoe or something with you.
