The main attraction of the park is the high hill of Ladakalnis. It is considered not only a natural, but also a historical monument. In ancient times, rituals and rituals dedicated to the goddess were held on the top of this hill. From the ancient hill of Ladakalnis opens an amazing unusual lake - Baluoshas. On this huge lake there are seven islands, one of which has its own small lake. There are about 126 lakes in the national park. The Zheimyan River plays a significant role in the ecosystem of Aukstait Park. The expanses of Zheimyan are excellent living conditions for many birds of Lithuania. The park is home to birds and animals listed in the Red Book. In total, the park has 64 species of plants, 8 species of fungi and 48 species of birds listed in the Red Book.

The abundance of lakes and rivers of the park creates all conditions for active recreation on the water: rafting, swimming, fishing, hiking and cycling are chosen by guests of Aukstait National Park.
