Parliament building at Etoual Square
Description:
The Parliament Building on Etoile Square is the seat of Lebanon’s legislature, the National Assembly. It was built in 1933 for the National Library of Lebanon, designed by Armenian architect Martiros Altunyan in the style of Boz-ar.
The Parliament Building is located in the main square of the capital of Lebanon, Etoal, in northern Beirut. This huge two-storey structure, with powerful arched-type entrance doors, is conveniently located near other modern buildings on Etoile Square. It has an impressive symmetrical design in the Eastern Renaissance style with historical motifs of the traditional neo-Mamluk style.
