Abdel-Wahid Mosque
Description:
The Abdel-Wahid Mosque is one of the oldest mosques and one of the oldest architectural monuments of the city of Tripoli, also of Lebanon, built in the early XIV century.
The Abdel-Wahid Mosque is located in the central city of Tripoli, east of the Al-Aatarien-Suk market, in northwestern Lebanon. It is housed in a small building with several arches, inside which there is a small prayer hall. Near the mosque you can see a small old minaret, the first of its kind minaret of Lebanon, which dates back to 1305. His style, although traditional in the northern regions of Lebanon, reflects the African-Arab roots of his creator.
