Chiekh Kazem Mikati, Tripoli, Lebanon
Description:
Tainal Mosque is an ancient Muslim shrine of the XIV century, built on the initiative of Emir An-Nasir Mohammed, in the center of a beautiful garden during the Mamluk conquests.
Tainal Mosque is located near Bab El Ramel Semeteri, in the southeastern part of Tripoli, in northwestern Lebanon. It is a four-domed building of elongated form of sandstone, near which there is a minaret. The mosque is decorated with marble and precious stones, which gives a special pomp and luxury to the building. Also in it you can see an old carved wooden minbar. Tainal Minaret has one exceptional feature – it includes two stairs that do not intersect with each other.
250 meters west of the Tainal Mosque, the graves of Vice-Sultan Abdullah-Seifi and his two sons were discovered.
