Wolf's mouth canyon
Description:
Canyon Wolf's mouth, which is also called "little Switzerland" - a nature reserve in the city of Echternach. It got its name in 1881 when it was first opened to tourists.
The canyon is located on the northwestern outskirts of Echternach, in the east of Luxembourg, on the border with Germany. Although the canyon is named after the wolves that lived there, today there are none, the last of which was shot in 1883. Canyon Wolf's mouth is the most beautiful and fascinating attraction of Echternach, against the background of rocky terrain and mountain vegetation, it is pleasant to spend time. At the entrance, a rock rises like an obelisk, which is therefore called “Cleopatra’s Needle”. Wolf’s mouth canyon is a fascinating place that must be visited when traveling in Echternach.
