Museum of Folk Life "A Possen"
Rue Aloyse Sandt 1, Wellenstein, Remich, Grevenmacher, Luxembourg
About the company:
The Museum of Folk Life consists of several houses, with products of folk artisans, from all over Luxembourg. Each individual room is dedicated to different areas - winemaking, dairy industry, toy business.
The Museum of Folk Life is located in the small village of Bech-Kleinmacher, in the southwest of the Grand Duchy, near the border with Germany. It is located in several ancient buildings of the XVII century on the banks of the Moselle River, which belonged to a rich winemaker. The excursion program includes watching a short film-presentation of the museum in five languages (English, German, French, Luxembourg, Dutch) and inspecting the main rooms and houses - the "black kitchen", the Bondar workshop, the toy house and kitchen utensils. The tour ends with a visit to the souvenir shop and a local restaurant, where you can taste Moselle wines, tartinki with ham and "boiled" cancoyote cheese.
The museum receives visitors daily from Easter until the end of October, except Mondays, from November to Easter, from Friday to Sunday, as well as on holidays from 11.00 to 19.00. The full ticket costs 5 euros, children - 2.50 euros.
