About the company:

The National Museum of History and Art is a historical, art and archaeological museum located in the city of Luxembourg. It was founded in 1869. The museum displays works of art and artifacts from all eras of the history of the Duchy of Luxembourg.

Initially, the museum was created exclusively by enthusiasts, now it is funded by the state. It is located in the modern building of the historic district, the city of Luxembourg, in the "Upper Town". In the museum you can see the history of the Duchy of Luxembourg. There are some very interesting archaeological finds. These are skeletons, stone tools, ancient documents, coins, weapons and medals. There are also many interesting objects of decorative and applied art, such as the marble bust of Septimius Severus, tombstones and fragments of medieval culture, statuettes of the Roman era. The museum houses a huge collection of works by artists from the Duchy of Luxembourg. You can also see expositions dedicated to folk craft and traditions. This is old furniture, silverware, ceramics.

The museum often hosts interesting temporary exhibitions. Last year there was a photo exhibition of the influential master in the history of photography Edward Steichen.
