The fortress of Markova Kuli, located within the Macedonian city of Prilep, served as the residence of the legendary ruler Marko Kralevich in the XIV century.
The fortresses are located in a saddle between the two peaks of the mountain.
The fortress of Markova Kuli is dilapidated, but from above you can see what it was like in the Middle Ages: two rings of defensive structures surrounded the main citadel.
From the top of the fortress there is a beautiful view of the city of Prilep and Mount Pelister.
