Monument "Warrior on Horse"

The monument "Warrior on a Horse" is located in the city of Skopje, on the central square. The sculpture depicts a rider in antique robes and with a sword in an outstretched hand and is very reminiscent of the figure of Alexander the Great on his Bucephalus.
The bronze composition is placed on a luxurious pedestal in the form of an ancient column decorated with sculptures of warriors at the base, bas-reliefs and coinage. The weight of the entire monument is 35 tons, and its height is 28 meters. Installation of the attraction was made with the help of a tower crane, and the opening took place on the day of the 20th anniversary of the independence of the republic.
The installation of the monument caused criticism from the Greek public, who believe that the history of the legendary commander is the property of Greece.
