Lake Malombe

Lake Malombe is located in southern Malawi, on the Shire River, in the southern region. The area of the lake is about 450 square kilometers.

The lake is fed by the Shire rivers and it has a depth of 2-2.5 meters. Along the shores of the lake, rice and corn (maize) are grown. Fishing is also very popular on the lake.
