The local market in Maldives (Male) is one of two urban markets, noisy and vibrant, almost daily lively shopping area, giving a great idea to tourists about the peculiarities of daily life of Maldivians.
In the local market is a lively trade mainly vegetables and fruits, among which are very popular pineapples and papayas, coconut sausages, as well as many other national sweets. Opening hours: up to 17-18 hours daily, except Friday. The local Male market is located near the northern coastline, just a couple of blocks from the famous Fish Market.
