Gar Lapsie Bay

The southern tip of Malta, three kilometers southwest of the airport.

Description:

Gar Lapsie is a small picturesque bay located on the southern tip of the island of Malta. The bay is a natural pool and enjoys great success with lovers of scuba diving.

Most of all, Gar Lapsy resembles a huge stone bowl - the cove is completely surrounded by steep rocks, on which local children love to climb. The water here is unusually clean and transparent - every pebble can be seen at the bottom. On the eastern shore of the bay is a deep flooded cave that attracts divers from all over the island. The colorful algae and the beautiful play of sunlight in the water column make Gar Lapsi one of the most beautiful places on the island.

Around the bay there is no full-fledged beach, but the stone cornices leave enough space for everyone to swim could bed towels or install sunbeds. Near Gar Lapsi there is a small restaurant where you can have a snack and regain strength after swimming.

In general, Gar Lapsie Bay is a real jewel of Malta. This is a very quiet and secluded place, attracting bathers with clean water and picturesque nature.
