Triq Il - Gendus, Bormla is located on the opposite coast of Valletta Grand Harbour

Description:

The coastal fortress town of Cospicua, fortified by a double fort, is one of three towns located on the Grand Harbor Peninsula. In ancient times, the city was called Bormla. Bormla, with the adjacent cities of Birgu and Senglei, forms the Cottonera region surrounding the Great Harbour from the south.

Cospicua is an important centre of Malta. Arriving here, be sure to visit the main cultural building of the city - the Cathedral Church of the Immaculate Conception, where a silver statue of the Mother of God, inlaid with precious stones, and other works of art are stored.

Also, visitors will be interested to see the fortification of Firenzuol, built in 1638, and the Margarita line, which is part of the old Cospicua, which was not damaged by bombing during the war and acted as part of the internal defensive wall of the Three Cities.
