About the company:

The National Art Museum is located in the capital of Mozambique, Maputo. This museum is one of the main attractions of Mozambique. The museum first opened to visitors in 1989 and houses the richest collections of Mozambican artists.

Mozambique has a rich artistic tradition despite years of colonization and devastating civil war. This is sculpture, cave paintings, and musical culture, and of course painting. The National Art School began forming around the 1940s. The first artist is considered Bertina Lopis. The museum presents all the eclectic styles and trends of modern painting in Mozambique. In addition to Lopis, works by artists such as Naguib Mukavele, Celestino Thomas, Chissano Makamo, Victor Sousa, Samat and Estevão Mukavele, and many others are exhibited.

Directions in the painting of Mozambique are very peculiar, and in national color. Exhibitions of many artists are successfully held in different countries and cause constant interest of the public.
