Haudum (National Park)

The park is located in the northeastern part of Namibia, southeast of the city of Rundu

Description:

Haudum National Park is located in the northern part of the Kalahari Desert, in northeastern Namibia. Despite its remoteness and inaccessibility, it is of great interest to nature lovers, since it is the habitat of many representatives of the local fauna, including rare ones.

Three large rivers pass through the park, thanks to which the area is distinguished by a rich variety of flora and fauna. The park is home to giraffes, antelopes, zebras, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, wild dogs and more than 500 elephants. Thanks to trees with a lush crown and dense bushes, the bird population is no less rich - the park is a habitat for more than 320 species of birds, 50 of which are predatory.
