First encounter with Kathmandu!

The sightseeing tour takes about 8-9 hours. Get ready for a huge number of impressions and a walk in the bright streets of Kathmandu. During this time we will visit:

Asam is the oldest market in Kathmandu. It was here that the caravans passed and so trade began many hundreds of years ago. Durbar Palace Square is a place where the oldest temples of the city, the royal palace, the temple of the goddess Taleju, the palace of the living goddess Kumari, the temple of Shiva and others are collected. We will visit museums and visit the palace of the King and Kumari. With a certain amount of luck, we can see the living goddess with our own eyes.

Stupa Svoyabhunath - it rises above the city and from here offers a stunning view. This place is also called the Temple of the Monkeys, because they are honored and fed here. It was here, according to legend, that Kathmandu began. We'll take a taxi from here to the next facility.

Boudanath Stupa is one of the most important Buddhist shrines in the world. Tibetans live here, closer to their shrine. We will also visit the school of thankopisi and the masters of singing bowls.

The temple complex of Pashupatinath is a place of cremation of Hindus and one of the main temples of Shiva in the world. There will be an opportunity to communicate with hermits-sadhu, and in the evening to attend the fiery service of the sacred river Bagmati, on which the entire temple complex is located.
