Description:

Twenty Southend Lake is located in Nepal, 5 kilometers south of the city of Bharatpur. Despite its name, Twenty South Lake is a single body of water. The lake got its name because of its complex shape, cut into many small bays.

The local places attract many species of birds, so the lake and coastal areas are of great interest to ornithologists from all over the world. Also there are a lot of crocodiles, which is both a danger to travelers, and increased interest from fans of these reptiles. Not far from the lake is the famous Chitwan National Park.

On the shores of the lake there are many termite mounds.

The locals can buy fresh fish, which they immediately catch in the lake.

The lake area is very popular as a place for cycling. You can come here with your bike or rent it in Bharatpur. Narrow trails in combination with the unique forest aroma and singing of birds are an ideal place for active recreation alone with nature.
