River Seti
Description:
The River Seti is a real treasure and one of the main attractions of Pokhara. Its course partly passes on the surface of the earth, and partly under it. Sometimes the riverbed falls into the rocks for 20 meters. Therefore, traveling along the bed of the Network, you can observe how a blue ribbon of water winds through the valley, suddenly disappearing for whole kilometers literally in a clear field. The name of the river translates as "white". And indeed - the water in it as in a fairy tale - milk because of the chalk particles washed out on the shore.
The western part of Nepal is sparsely populated, and you will rarely find signs of human presence on the banks of the Net. The river flows through rocky terrain with rare pebble beaches. Between areas of the wild jungle are very rare small rice fields and villages for three or four houses. The main population lives much higher in the mountains. Everyone looks at foreigners with undisguised curiosity and interest, and children and adults are very friendly and take pictures with pleasure. If you share some of your belongings with them, you will become almost a favorite distant relative.
On the Network rest families and couples. During most of the year, it is a calm and beautiful place to travel for weeks. Only in the monsoon season, it changes its temper, and becomes a favorite entertainment for rafters and kayakers.
